Vauhti TOP RACE VECTOR Block (7C/-3C) | 30g
Vauhti TOP RACE VECTOR: Master the Wet Snow
Maximize Velocity from Start to Finish. When maximum top speed isn't the only factor, you need to maintain peak velocity through every phase of the race. TOP RACE VECTOR is the solution for skiers who demand consistency and acceleration.
This formula has been specially developed to be the ultimate coating for tricky wet snow conditions, where maintaining glide is most challenging.
Why Choose VECTOR?
- Scientifically Validated Speed: The unique raw materials in VECTOR were produced in collaboration with Vauhti’s dedicated R&D partner. The content has been rigorously tested and validated by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and the University of Eastern Finland.
- Total Velocity: Unlike standard coatings that focus solely on top-end speed, VECTOR is engineered to maximize your velocity across all speeds - climbing and downhills.
- Optimized for Wet Conditions: Specifically formulated to repel moisture and reduce suction in wet, complex snow.
Application Instructions (How to Apply)
Get the most out of your coating with these specific application steps:
- Rub On: Apply VECTOR in thin layers. Simply rub the block directly onto the base of your skis. Pro Tip: Dab the block against your wax iron briefly to soften it for easier rubbing.
- Melt: Set your wax iron to ~160 °C. Melt the coating into the base for 10–15 seconds per ski, ensuring the entire surface is covered.
- Cool Down: It is crucial to let the coating and base cool down completely. If you are waxing in a warm room, take the skis outside for a short period to ensure they are fully cooled.
-
Scrape & Brush: Scrape as usual. For brushing, follow this standard sequence:
- First: Brass or fine steel hand brush.
- Second: Horsehair brush.
- Finish: Nylon brush.
- The Perfect Finish: Brush gently, avoiding excess pressure. Remove all excess coating that hasn't been absorbed. Your base is ready when it feels smooth and slippery under a polishing cloth.
Technical Specifications
- Best For: Tricky wet snow conditions
- Iron Temperature: ~160 °C
- Application Method: Rub-on and iron
Responsible for Speed. Experience the difference of scientifically backed velocity.
